Two representatives from the Pattonville School District shared their knowledge during a virtual learning series sponsored by the EdTech program of EducationPlus, the Midwest Education Technology Community (METC). Both Dr. Matt Goodman and Dr. Tammy Hasheider were featured during the week of March 8 when the ISTE Standard was Analyst.
METC On Demand is a virtual learning series that will focus on a different ISTE Standard for Educators each week highlighting tools and strategies in areas of instructional practices, equity, health and wellness, student engagement and technology integration.
Dr. Matt Goodman, lead researcher for Pattonville, presented two sessions titled “Educators as Analysts: Concepts and Processes to Improve Practices” and “I Love Spreadsheets and You Can Too: Practical Advice and Tips.”
Dr. Tammy Hasheider, Pattonville High School district technology specialist, co-presented a session titled “Increasing Student Engagement with Creativity in Hybrid and At-Home Learning Environments.” Hasheider was joined by a presenter from Apple.
Both of their sessions encouraged attendees to learn how to use technology to design and implement a variety of formative and summative assessments that accomodate learner needs, provide timely feedback to students and inform instruction.
