Gould earns NCI Public Service Award

Patty Gould, Pattonville's director of school-business partnerships, was selected to receive the Public Service Leadership Award from North County Incorporated (NCI). The award recognizes an outstanding individual whose long-time service has had a positive impact on the community and/or public body they serve. NCI advocates for North St. Louis County by connecting community, municipal and business leaders to collaboratively work toward positive growth, economic development and marketing to sustain a great quality of life.

Gould joined Pattonville’s administrative team in 2001. Her responsibilities include forming relationships in the community and keeping businesses informed and involved in the schools for the benefit of both students and the business community. Gould’s department works with area businesses and organizations to provide mentoring, job shadowing, field trips, tutoring, performance incentive programs and donations for Pattonville students. She is also responsible for the district’s community education programs and classes for children and adults, as well as before- and after-school child care programs for elementary and middle school students.

For many years, Gould served on NCI's executive board of directors, including as chairperson of the NCI board of directors. Other service roles include North County School-Business Partnership executive board (including as treasurer); Northwest Chamber of Commerce board of directors and education committee; Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce board of directors, education committee and chairman of the board; representative on the District Leaders Council of the CHARACTERplus program of EducationPlus of St Louis as well as a member of Pattonville's district-wide CHARACTERplus committee; and St. Louis County Workforce Development’s Youth Council Committee.

Prior to joining Pattonville, Gould was the corporate membership director for the Edward Jones YMCA. She previously served as associate executive director, director of health and physical education and aquatic director in the YMCA system since 1978 in the St. Louis area, Quincy, Illinois and Sacramento, California. She holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation and parks administration from Illinois State University.
